What's New? Real Estate Loan Accommodations & Workouts

Federal banking regulators have issued a final Policy Statement for Prudent Commercial Real Estate Loan Accommodations and Workouts that calls for financial institutions to work prudently and constructively with creditworthy borrowers during times of financial stress. The policy statement updates and replaces guidance issued in 2009 and includes a new provision on short-term loan accommodations.
